Hi i thought my fuel bowl was leaking on my 50hp mariner 4 cylinder 2 stroke approx 1984/1985 but it's not the fuel leak is coming from the back of the carb side that's facing you when bolted to the engine ive been told as its flooding on idle and fuel is coming out its down to incorrect float height can someone tell me how to adjust it to the correct height please photo of carb attached it's a mercarb and believe it's the tiloston one

See that cloverleaf tang on the float assembly. Above the needle and seat. Bend it gently to get the correct float height. First check the needle and seat though as I doubt its a float height issue in that setup.

The needle and seat are fine ive had it all clean and if you blow are into the fuel inlet you can hear it coming out then lift the float and it shuts off so because it's been messed with i think the float is set in correct so i need the heigh measurement for my vernia to set it to the correct height and at wot fuel dosent come out of the air intake .
