No, it's not the Major or Kwacka, I've just had a Notice to Mariners from CHT to say that the Outfall Beacon at Beaumaris has been broken off leaving the stump poking up out of the sand & mostly underwater. Please give the point plenty of clearance to minimise risk of ripping the bottom off your boat ot knocking blades off your prop.

If you know the area, it is (was?) the post with a green triangle on it just before you getto the pier when entering Beaumaris. There is a green channel bouy beyond it, it would make sense to treat that as the inshore marker for the time being - I normally cut the corner quite a bit, but won't now until it is sorted.
