Memory foam mattress

We have just had some custom made mattresses made for our princess, we are over the moon with the quality and service, only a small outfit but we can not fault them. :encouragement:

6 inch combination 5 traditional plus 1 memory. In Greece. Very comfortable, thick enough for even the heaviest crew mwember ( me ) and the limited memory foam is enough to be comfortable but not sweaty.

Not noticed damp problems even when sleeping aboard at Christmas when it was bloody cold.

Interesting to hear the negative reviews about memory foam.
We had 3" bog standard foam in the boat to start with, and it wasn't great. Added slats underneath (I just cut up some old 9mm ply) and a 2" cheapo memory foam topper from eBay. Big improvement. No complaints at all now. I occasionally take the (uncovered) memory foam layer home to air as I think it absorbs a bit of damp and boat smell.
