I suspect that there are more owners than charterers on here but if something small but traditional like a Memory 19 was available for short Charter, would anyone be interested?
I was recently looking for a small yacht to charter as my Cornish Crabber was damaged whilst being towed to Plymouth and out of action for the summer, the smallest I could find was 31ft. I was thinking of including trailer sailers for hire on my web site www.trailersailer.co.uk.

I guess the problem with Chartering for smaller vessels is that chartering requires a Marina berth and people with smaller vessels tend not to want to use marinas so much and thus disqualify themselves.
Not so long ago there was a guy chartering a Shrimper and a Cape Cutter down in Chichester Harbour (Floaters Marine I think the comapny was called). I may be wrong but I got the impression there was only limited demand and he ended up selling both boats and closing down the business after a couple of seasons.
I suppose if your qualified / expereienced enough to charter then the temptation will always be to go as big as you can afford.
Well I guess it would be Chichester. I would love a memory but it is out of my pricerange. If I could off-set the cost with a charter income then it might be possible.
I live in West London so although Brighton is slightly closer, I think Chichester would be the best area.
