Alan very kindly, and with great trust considering I grew up not too far from Liverpool, lent me a Rutland 503. It is putting charge in the cells, but constantly (about every two seconds at the moment) reverts to "regulate" mode, which makes both the controller and the turbine emit a meeep noise for a moment. Is this normal?

Also, the rotator bearing is worn which makes it vibrate through the hull. I've got used to it though as it gives me a relaxing feeling of my batteries being charged, but if I can fix it on the cheap, I might grown to enjoy the silence. Anybody know if they can be replaced and indeed for how much?

Anyway, this may be my last post for this evening as I'm running low on battery, so good night all and enjoy your sunday evening. I'm (yet again) having a leftover vindaloo whilst sat bobbing about in Pyefleet.

Apart from the fact that i would love a bath, I couldn't be happier.

Well, I could, force 4 and blazing sunshine would give me a welcome break to this relentless crappy weather /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The bearing costs £15 from Marlec but it is the very very worst job to change. It's also possible to break the unit doing so /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Marlec will change it for about £60 plus courier but they will need it for about a week so I'd put up with the noise!
