Medway to Ramsgate, with Pictures for your pleasure

So last weekend we had a trip round from the Medway to Ramsgate, and returned after a night in the Marina.

The weather was bright and sunny on the saturday with hardly any wind so we motorsailed most of the way there, after a gloomy start on sunday the sun came out again and we had a little wind for a sail on the way home.
We only saw 1 other yacht which followed us out of the medway, until we were approaching Ramsgate, same for the way home as well........ah but it was Mothers day weekend!

Here are a few pics of the things you are likely to see on the way round, we went via Princes Channel on the way out and returned via the Overland Passage.

Our eldest daughter who met us at Ramsgate managed a snap of us as we entered the Marina.

Would be great if we got a few weekends like this in the summer

There is also a video at the end of Red Sand Towers with the eiree sound of the bouy in the background.

Your pic of the 'Bayblast' RIB - oddly enough I watched that boatload leave the harbour here at Herne Bay, probably about 15 minutes before you took your photo! They do high-speed trips round the windfarm and back in time for tea.

Just got back from putting the anti-foul on at Gillingham. Lovely day today too. Only a week to go and we're back in and I can't wait to hear that clanking bell at the red sands towers.
That also explains why they're always advertising Ramsgate mooring berths! Excellent photo's cheers.
