I was wondering if anyone had any Mediterranean itineraries, or just favourite ports, or favourite places to eat in favourite ports, in the Mediterranean.

I'm plotting a charter somewhere in the Mediterranean (perhaps Greece or Italy, but undecided), and I've read online itineraries of various quality, but it's difficult to really know what's good and what's not.

If anyone would like to share their favourite route, port, restaurant, pub, club, bay, I'd love to hear about it, as probably would others I imagine...

Cheers.

I can only really offer mho on the South Ionian. Incase you're thinking of that part of Greece, here are my choices;

Kastos - Gerry's on the quay. Best Veal Steak in the world (everything is fresh from the mainland daily, so nothing frozen)

Ay Eufimia - Paradise Restaurant up the hill to the right of the parade of waterfront bars/taverna's. Doesn't look much from the outside, but the view has to be seen to be believed, the Swordfish is out of this world, and chocolate souffle to die for

Paleros - Taverna Tomorrow. I've known Thanassis, the owner, for 20 years, he's fab. Food is lovely, great atmosphere, and huge beer glasses!!!

Vassiliki - imho avoid Penguins like the plague. Service horrendous and food not up to much. Quite pricey too.

That's about the best (only my opinion tho so others may beg to differ!).

Have a fab time
