Help from those with better financial brains than me! We're hoping to cruise for a year - across channel, down through French waterways, out into Med - southern France, through Italy (hence previous post!), Croatia, Greece, then back home via Northern Africa. Trying to work out a budget! Would we be far out if we budgeted for following:
Diesel - £15k
Moorings - average of £20 per night
Disaster fund - £5k
We're hoping for a 12m Broom, 20 years old.
Hope you can help! Marina

doesn't sound too far out. But you'll need food. You should take a really good anchors and nice tender so that you can anchor out a lot to save on marina fees, and only go in during the day for a short stop, usually free of charge. When I say "anchor out" I mean that loads of peeps anchor not very far from the entrance to the marinas, not miles away in some godforsaken inlet.

£15k sound a lot for deisel as a fair bit will be at river speeds. See if you can get back copies from MBM
on the cruise the couple (cantremember their name) made is "Darius" a Moonraker 36. They went the
midi route to Spain, then returned via european canals. Should have budget info in the articles
