I don’t think this is what is meant by “Stern To Mooring” - ending up suspended by lines attached to the bows of the boats either side.

From observation, even when it goes well, in an F4, it appears to involve a lot of shouting, big fenders, neighbouring owners, and a small army of Marina Staff on buggies to help.

This one appeared to go particularly badly. Many owners appeared from below with boathooks and fenders. The Marina Staff went zooming along the outer mole in their buggy looking a bit wild eyed, scattering tourists as they went. There was a lot of shouting in different languages, and it all went a bit Croatian.

Net result was that they drifted down to the main quayside using thrusters and the wind, then divers were deployed. I suspect they got tangled up on someone’s ground line, which disabled the main engine.

I remain to be convinced that this is a relaxing way to go boating!

You have to use the wind it’s your friend .
In this case rather then go mid channel position the boat upwind of the useable ( bow lines accepted ) centreline .
Another thing never use the helm always engines and bow thrusters combo and remember if the prop(s) are not turning they are not gripping so more likely to slip more sideways if the wind is on the beam in a aisle.

It might be an optical illusion but the channel between the boats looks very narrow for the big boats parked opposite
