We are on the Tiber at Rome and plan to do Med France this Spring, haul out over the summer and then back in Autumn. Can you suggest yard locations to haul out over the summer somewhere on that coast?

We didn't do that coast when we went East, so no idea at all. Plenty of marinas showing up on Navily and Captains Mate but difficult to get the info needed on haul out.

That Port St Louis might be an idea. I don't need maintenance, but a yard which lets you do it yourself would be good since I plan to clean up the boat and sell it over the winter there.

If you look at a YouTube channel called Sailing Options, he has his yacht out there and has some good comments

Port Napoleon is great for what you want, just watch out for the mossies!!
They have boots on and come with many many friends

Yep, agreed, can get a bit windy, but you'd appreciate that if doing a bit of work over the summer, would be spanking hot.

What's that general area of Med France like for cruising about and anchoring? We plan to lift in June when we get there (from Rome) and launch again for September/October. Anchoring is by far our preference.

The best cruising area is the Rade d’Hyeres .......lots of bays, coves, beaches, islands to discover. If you want to cruise and then buy an expensive handbag, I suggest Saint-Tropez

There seems to be a slow way - bus/train - or taxi. Informal taxi €70 or Port Napoleon at €130.

Our flight looks like it will be mid day, so taxi likely.
