I was once cruising in company with a Brummy friend who had his fenders out like that.
So I called him on the radio and said "I see that the Birmingham Navy is at sea again".
His reply was very quick - "Do you mean the Royal Birmingham Navy" - he said.

Yup, when choosing a boat, convenient but hidden fender storage is on my list of boxes to tick. Hurricane, the princess 75 is excellent on this score, big lockers either side of bow sofa, just in case you are contemplating a purchase!

In fairness its easier to design in decent fender storage on a 75 footer than it is on a 60 footer or smaller but I agree that most boatbuilders pay little or no attention to this point when designing their boats. On our Ferretti, fenders are supposed to be stored in the admittedly quite large anchor locker where there shelves to put them but these shelves are nowhere near big enough for modest 5 fenders a side we carry so we tend to just lift them on to the side decks. There is an advantage to this though in that I can't trust my crew to hang all the fenders at what I consider to be the appropriate height so not untying them gets around this potential marital argument

We have fender baskets as part of the rail system.
Until recently, we never used them.
Last year, we used them all the time.
It wasn't just the extra chain that we had in the locker - we used them before we loaded that.
Can't think why we have just started using them.

Enjoyed the video Mike (worked fine over here), what a great looking boat and fantastic scenery.
While in YouTube I noticed other MapisM productions and there was a good one of Marina Sifredi shot with a drone, no doubt taken during the Scubaman visit last season, again nice work.

Yep, while there we shot that and MM edited it for the marina owner. It was very nice meeting the owners. Mr. Sifredi jr. took me to meet me to Mr. Sifredi sr. and I got an impression of a well run family business with a passion on what they do. I even got some of that excellent Carlofortian tuna as a thanks.

That aside, sorry folks for being a bit late to this thread, but I can rarely (and just very briefly) check the forum these days, so I can't follow up properly - as I should also with some other threads.
But since it only took me seconds to make a musicless version of the video, here it is below, for those who couldn't see it yet.
