Well, as its been nearly a year since we sold our lovely Monterey, and with the suns being out loads recently I've started to think about getting out on the water again
Sadly not in a position to buy anything yet, so my attention turned to perhaps combining a summer holiday with a bit of boating!
Not really worried about where it is, but so far most of my searching has led me to Croatia, which is somewhere we'd like to go, and from what I've read has some great coastline!
I'm looking at sports-cruisers in the 25-30ft range, mainly because its the size I'm used to + keeps the cost down and its only the 2 of us so should be plenty big enough! Trouble is there seems to be a fairly even mix between petrol and diesel, the later being more expensive for a given size unsurprisingly!
So now for the questions..
Is petrol readily available and how much is it?
How much is Diesel?
Are the weather/sea conditions likely to still be ok towards the end of September?
Location seems to be either Biograd or Trogir/Seget are they similar area's?
What is there to see/do in these area's, are there lots of places you can moor up for a meal and stay the night? and are they expensive?
How difficult is the med style berthing, seeing as I've never even tried it
Finally, does anyone have any good/bad experience with charter companies based in Croatia? or recommendations?
TIA
Charlie
