Med boaters - will you get to your boat this year?

I used a Volvo Penta dealer and paid €3,500 to service the drives. Cost for the repair is €13,000. It’s frustrating when you don’t cut corners and this happens. But hey, everyone’s safe and at the end of the day it’s a first world problem!
1st world problem……A+ for boat maths ???

^^^ Its surprisingly reasonable, par for the course, about €110 per night for me .Eating out / living is reasonable too .Try the yacht club for breakfast/ lunch .

Is that black soot, exhaust smoke stains I see on the port stern 1/4 of the bathing platform ?For an hrs worth of running !

Understanding Low Power Troubleshooting

Can it reach rated WOT ?

It may be a coincidence but the amount of boats spewing black smoke this year really caught my eye. Usually boats which are not used for months at the time. Maybe Diesel ? I use mine at least once a month in the winter (and burn 2-3 full tanks a year) and never noticed any black smoke or smoke at all.

Perhaps people have put off their servicing because of covid

Always had a small amount of black soot but not as much as this trip, my first job is to get more air flow into the engine room, it gets seriously hot in there, there are only two small fans.

he sure has done! its quite a skill flying a moving boat! this is my first effort and i have a lot of practice to do!
Nah
Mine are nothing like as good as your ones - especially the one you did round the Needles during the Axopar meet.
As you say, flying a drone from a boat is hard enough - even if you have someone else to drive the boat.
I need to do more though.

In the past, I have tried to use the Active Tracking that is a feature of the more advanced DJI drones.
The Mini (and I think the Mini 2) don't have Active Track although I think that the new Mini 3 does.

It doesn't matter though, I've never managed to get the software to "lock onto" a boat.
I think it may be because I am flying too far away and need to be a bit closer.
I always resort to manually flying which doesn't produce as smooth a video as the automatic stuff.

The ones around the needles were far too good for me! Done by Andrew Adams of Parker Adams brokerage.

the mini 3 does have active track and as you say, much smoother than i could ever do. I am learning,… less is more and lots of shorts to make up a video.

The hardest bit is landing… landing on a small area on land is easy, when that small area is moving is hard, and if it goes wrong the drone gets wet makes it really hard.
