I am trying to track down Greg Redpath and his wife Joan (Fennelly). Joan should contact her family in Ireland as soon as possible. If anyone has a Twitter, Facebook, E-mail, Linked-In account or any other information regarding their boat or location, please contact me at Kees.Wijnstekers@Gmail.com.

The family has been in contact with us, we have tried and so has everyone who was on the Red Sea Sailing Safari with them. They are as their boat name "Elusive".

Re: Med Asia Sailing Safari (MASS) 2017/2018 - Now Completed

Following on from the Red Sea Sailing Safari 2014/2015 we have updated our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/redseasailingsafari.

In essence we are intending to sail to Indian via the Red Sea and Indian ocean during the winter of 2017 / 2018 (Oct-May). Anyone interested can contact me either via the facebook page or PM on this forum.

The Med Asia Sailing Safari consisted of 5 boats who left Kastellerizo, Greece in October 2017 with all boats arriving safely at their destinations (2 boats went to Cochin, India, 3 went to the Seychelles) by April 2018.

On route the Safari visited Cyprus, Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti and Socotra.

There were no problems, no scary bits and no pirate incidents.

Throughout the trip through the High Risk Area (HRA) all boats had signed up with the UKMTO and had daily communication and sighting with either Military Aircraft flying over the area or Navy Boats sailing around the area.

It was a great experience with some incredibly good sailing.

Further details can be found on out Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/medasiasailingsafari/

Should anyone be considering this trip and would like some information I would be more than happy to help.
