Mechanic required Weymouth

Does anyone know a good mechanic that could carry out a full leak down test on one of my D3 engines in Weymouth. I've spoken to two locals and neither knew what a leak down test was, they were trying to tell me it's the same as a compression test but it's not.

Not when it comes to a simple leak down test a good mechanic would be just as capable to do this as a marine engineer

A dealer will plug in the vodia to carry out a cylinder balance test , it’s basically a compression test that works by closing the fuel off and turning over the engine , the computer does the rest then gives a reading on each cylinder . I’ll drop you a message.

I believe it’s a rotational test measured from load , it certainly works as I had a D4 tested recently which was 30% on cylinder 1 , head off to find cracks between the valves and seats burnt out .
