Measurement survey

I need one! Snag is the boat and I are in SW Florida! I wrote to the RYA but no reply to my request for the contact details of an approved surveyor so I phoned the MCA. They informed me that they would only accept ABS surveys. Now, that outfit charge megabucks! Any "RYA approved" surveyors heading over here on holiday between now and Dec who would like to earn a few $ please get in touch!!!

Thanks Brian, I wonder why the MCA insisted it had to be an ABS survey? 300 quid is still way over the 135 it would cost in the UK so , you never know I may get a surveyor to fit it in for pin money if he is on his hols in sweaty Florida. The bummer is I just laid out for a regular survey and had I done my homework I could have combined the two. !

No wonder the RYA didn't reply. The R stands for Royal, you know. They're still upset about what your lot did to that nice King George the Third.

Hi Twisted Ken , maybe you should look before you leap? I am an expat BRIT.and I don't see why I should pay double for a simple service just because I am away from my home shores.
