£96 of spares from Detroit ...

IMG00011.jpg

1 x Injector
2 x Oil Filter
2 x Primary Fuel Filter
2 x Secondary Fuel Filter

Injector installed in hole... re-adjusted valve clearance, injector timing and fuel rack setting .... Idle speed set to 500 RPM and she run very smooth again... no vibrations and only 25 RPM drop when put into gear when cold. Will run her up to working temperature next week-end and re-adjust idle as I suspect it may be 50 RPM too high..

Happy owner !! :D

Nice one Alf, I finished up on Monday by moving the water tank into the space left by the Genny. Its one of those bladder type ones (220l) that fights like a fighty thing and conspires to dump water all over you when you're at you're most vulnerable, ie when trapped in a corner that's smaller than yourself!
Still, I've been wanting to do those jobs for about 4 years now and although I ache in my aches I'm a happy bunny.
