Did anybody go this weekend? By all accounts there were few visitors - too scared to go after Covid? Or not enough publicity?

Certainly not lack of publicity in my case. I've been overwhelmed with emails and spammed with videos of Tim nice but very thick and the marina manager extolling its virtues. I just don't fancy a 'boat show' where I have to book in advance each boat that I'd like to look at and without the shore side it all seems not really a boat show and more just a few co-located dealers. If I want to look over a boat that the dealer has in stock I can do that whenever I want.

The Marina Managers spamming on Facebook Live has been beyond amateur quite how MDL marketing dept. allowed it is beyond me..

The MDL marketing department is the above mentioned Tim nice but very thick and my guess is that it was done on his direction as the marina manager seems a decent sort.

I went down today. The dealers were pretty frustrated as the booking system didn't work at all well. Not a surprise for MDL as they are a useless company. Good see some boats at last though

Went and enjoyed it. We booked the first viewing and they had no record of us but spent ages chatting anyway and then we basically went on every boat we wanted after that as there was hardly anyone there. Good day out. Covid safety was excellent.

Booked on the the day. Booking system was rubbish. A lot of bookings didn't turn up, so was able to jump on the boats we wanted. The vendors were indeed frustrated by the process when we asked them. Some appt slots were for 1.5 hrs, so only a few slots per boat available per day.
It did initially put us off going at all at first. But decided to walk down from a neighbouing marina to check it out and have a look around.
Was a good start and I guess a trial run for future boat shows. But much better booking system needed or an email alert sent to your phone when able to view. Otherwise lots of time wasted, waiting to see if booking turned up. If they didn't, then we could jump on instead.

Frustrating to hear the booking system did not work. We wanted to see a couple of boats but everything was booked.
