Does anybody has problem with this mad box???

To cut a long story short. Volvo have had problems with the mdi unit for 4 plus years on the D series. To my knowledge they have tried replacement with 6 different versions all have failed in a very short space of time. The problem part numbers are: 22458451, 21120710, 21261871, 21511215, 21558939, 22594274
The current replacement is 23231607
Its been a PR disaster for Volvo Penta along with replacing engines in USA that do not meet the current emission rules.
If you have a problem with one they will replace it FOC but they do not advertise it.
If you have to buy one they are circa £500

I have had a letter from Volvo Penta offering to replace the MDI on a D series engine FOC . I believe owners just have to contact their local dealer to have this work done.
The references are Service Bulletin 37-2-107, Quality Campaign Q0138.

Thanks wizard. I had change Four times this mad box and the problem continue. I'm stucked for 8 month in a marina with my new Ovni 395 with a D2-50f engine. A nightmare
