I expect you'll be OK without a grease nipple if your guy fits a phosphor bronze bush - I would add a smear of Ramonol on the shaft, though, and maybe pack the oil seal with it, too. That will give a little reserve of lubricant.

Here is the pump, machined and bushing installed!
