MD21A With 270 leg

I have just fitted a MD21A Engine to my Fairline Holliday 24ft cruiser but it doesent seem to have the get up & go, i think the leg is a 270 volvo as it has no number on it could onyone give me an idea of the the correct prop size & leg for this engine

if this the old peugeot engine, then maybe your expecting a bit much from it? Its only a 75hp engine after all. What kind of performance are you getting at the moment?

It might help the forum if you can say what revs the engine achieves at WOT.
My little book on this boat indicates that when new,the 60HP single diesel version would give 12 knots.

Hi neth here thanks for your help i bought it as a volvo but it looks like a peugeot it does about 8 nots the rev counter needs to be changed as its for a V8 i have only just tried it out it only seems to us about a quater of the revs avalible just as the bow lifts it seems to stop building revs.
