MD2030 anode

I don't think the 2030 has an anode, I had one for 13 years and was not aware of one and there is no mention in the owners manual. My understanding is the engine is isolated from the transmission and in my case, with a saildrive, the leg has an anode as does the Volvo folding prop which has three and they do not last very well and really need changing at least twice a year.

In general indirectly cooled engines do not need an anode but their heat exchangers may do, dependent upon materials of construction. Raw water cooled engines almost always do need one.

And there is no anode in the MD2030 heat exchanger. The raw water connection is direct to the tube nest via the rubber end caps.
