Mc4 solar connectors.

My solar panel for the boat came with mc4 connectors. I'm not that keen drilling a hole the size of the connector and would ideally prefer not to have that size connector running through where the wire has to go.
Is it ok connecting the copper cable in a more normal (for me) way? Either soldering and heat shrinking or wago and heat shrink?

P.s. i don't have the specific tools to take them apart or crimp them either.

Cut them off and connect to standard wire once below deck, using crimp connectors.

I always cut the ends off because they are too fat. The only time I will remove the panels is when they fail in 10-20 years.

If you are going to do wiring, buy quality ratchet cimpers and learn to use them (for example, adjust them to the fittings your use).
