MBY's spot the boat

it's good that one of the new boundaries has been established. So we take this as a precedent for permitted human pictures ? ;)

I'll go so far as to say it's not a Delta 80....

Not a Delta, no. The chaps in Stockholm are a little more discreet with their marketing material.
 
I was wondering how certain individuals were getting it right everytime and leading us to believe that they were/are vastly knowledgeable?.....It just didn't ring true!..............then it occured to me!
Hence I will refrain from partaking in future (PS I didn't mention GIR).. :)

You seem to forget he is a 16 year old who love boats to bits and spends his time looking at boats , he has form a very young age , you should see his bedroom ! he has books from every builder there is out there , plus his granddad sends him the ones we cant get here . Thats how he knows so fast , he spots the smallest of things and they seem to stick . I have been with him when spot the boat comes out and he knows what its is just like that .

He does not cheat or use GIR

Quite right. We know it's all a bit of fun but this game worked quite well when we had people chipping in and narrowing it down using what they could see.

I'm not accusing anyone of using GIS to help their spot but it does somewhat miss the point if that's what is going to start happening.

All that is fully accepted/believed by me! I speak as a fellow boat geek (though 100 years older than Reece) and know that you can spot the brand/model from little details then merely confirm it on the manufacturer's website. I dunno how to use GIR, never done it, and only realised it existed when someone told me the other day.
 
Thank you JFM , that is how he does it sees something like a hand rail , looks to see the size against the girl , works our about the size then checks the website .

He has never cheated .

I do hope your not 100 years older than him ? :)

I think it's only how it's been done on this occasion, and only as a joke and quickly admitted by RobWales. Me2 has confirmed he doesn't use it, I'm quite sure jfm wouldn't, and Mystere Marcus seems to have gone quiet recently, and let's face it, they're the only people who ever get the answer anyway! I can't help thinking me2 needs a girlfriend though :D
 
Not pointing the finger at anyone in particular here, but over the past months gone by on a Friday up comes the STB thread and within seconds someone gets it right......!
Seems I sould have kept quiet.

The sad thing about me2, Mysteremarcus, me and some others, is that we can usually do this thing faster the Google images anyway. Tell Reece to keep that fact to himself when talking to girls at parties though. It would be like saying you're a tax collector :D :D

Ref my age, no not at all. I'm 24. I'm leaving for the South of France in a couple of hours and have a spare ticket, so girls please form an orderly queue :D :D

PS. this odd angle had me confused as per the size of the boat, the only thing I can usually come close to is boat size, not even that this time!
 
As I said before (IIRC) why not use MBM/MBY pictures that have not been published or rather not posted on the net, that would put the fun back into the game.
Obviously the issue pricing needs to go up to provide the propper babe factor.
