Took advantage of the discount on back issues yesterday and downloaded the March 2013 magazine. What a great content:

- Cruising Cinque Terre by the late Peter Cumberlidge
- test of the Magellano 43
- test of Absolute 55
- Jimmythebuilder’s move to the South of France
-JFM‘s trip to Corsica
- second hand Fairline phantom 50
- boat skills; running aground

in terms of content and layout the magazine was at its best in that period imho.

I didnt know you could download back issues. Have you got the link?

It is through the MBY app. Click on newsstand and it shows the back issues. They only go back to August 2012.

OK thanks. So basically you can only download issues from the app on your phone or tablet and not onto your PC or Mac?

A great discovery that I made during the last lockdown was the Readly app. You can get a 1 month free trial most of the time. It’s an app that costs €9.95 per month but you get lots of magazines that you can view and download. MBY, PBO, YW and lots of other boating mags are available and back issues for 5-7 years are available. It’s great for gadget and tech mags and car mags too. I’ve also found lots of interesting magazines from around the world like Passagemaker from the US.

+1 for Readly as for the same price 5 people can have log in access

I did not try on other devices. The digital MBY subscription was always presented “for iPad”, so dont know if they are compatible with other formats.
