Round Anglesey with cruise in company.

Caernarfon Bar was very big and bouncy with rollers over the foredeck. Nice sail up to South stack until wind freshened and headed totally aginst forecast. Wife had to practice first aid after I took a knuckle off and I made a good job of converting the cockpit into an abatoir.

About the same time we found that leaves and a small chain locker drain are not a good combination.

Entered Holyhead with the carpets afloat to be welcomed by three policeman and two policewoman sitting on a very angry, drunk/or drugged eastern european lady who had "probably" stabbed her husband.

You get all sorts at Holyhead but it was good to meet and have a chat with forumites Skipper Stu,Dave Jackson and their partners!:)

Afternoon and next morning spent drying boat and in Laundarette as we found our dry bags have holes in them! Sikaflex will be deployed next weekend all around the inside and top of the chain locker.

Return trip was a cracking down wind sleigh ride surfing at up to 9.5 knots to Lynas. One slightly scary broach. I was hoping to do this in company with David but he mysteriously went AWOL Sunday AM! The marina sounded far worse than it actually was out in the Bay.

We had a small beach fire and barbie Sunday night to round off and celebrate our circumnavigation.
Well it was small until Liz and friend found a tree to burn. Some then celebrated harder than others and were not seen until 4 PM Monday missing most of the best day of the year so far! I Understand it has been horrible in Scotland!(Caught any Fish yet Tom and James?:D)

Probably the way I'm reading it, but I presume (hope) the above two statements are not linked in any way? Other than location of course!!:D

Friday downwind sail west up the Blackwater to a mooring overnight, downwind again on Saturday in F6 east this time to Bradwell. Met up with 5 other boats and 2 car loads for pontoon party followed by a pub supper, then bit of drifting about on Sunday in bright warm sunshine then a cracking beat all on starboard tack back to base.

Excellent weekend. I even think I spotted a harbour porpoise but it had gone by time I had the camera.

Had a better day Monday, sailed down to St Patricks island and played around with diferent hove too reef combinations.
Just me, no sick crew or other skippers problems. Magic.
