So after months of faffing about, negotiating, "will I, won't I" ..... today I finally shook hands and signed the paperwork.

So with that, may I introduce you to the new member of the alty family:

The only problem now is that I think i'm going to need a bigger lake!

She's a minter; I know this boat well and have used her casually for the past 2 seasons. I guess the only difference now is i'll have to pay all the bills myself!

Very nice Alt, Zaffaro 34 ?
I got to borrow one occasionally when our boat was abroad, very spacious and comfortable :)
what engines have you got ?

Yeah a Zaffiro 34. KAD 43's

I prefer the KAD 43's over the D's, personal choice

She doesn't have a gennie or any diesel heaters - we'll sort this out over the summer.

IF anyone knows of an Ebby D4 going cheap....

Congratulations. Fab machine and looks mint. Nice to be able to buy a boat whose history you know first hand

Bigger lake? Could i suggest Lake Mediterranean? You need to get that on a truck to the Cote D'Azur sharpish Alt. It's cruelty keeping her a northern europe :D

When I told my father that i'd bought it he asked if i'd joined the Russian Maffia. I suppose a 25 year old probably shouldn't have toys like this but to be fair, my car is a banger :D

She'll stay in Ireland. She's hitting the sea for the finish of the Volvo Ocean Race and if weather permits we'll then go South a bit, up the Shannon Estuary and spend a bit of time on the Shannon waterway

But I agree jfm, there is serious comfort in knowing this boat inside out... sure I was the one that polished and serviced her for the past 2 years.... serviced it last week (and the tab picked up by the old owner... nice!)

The only thing that doesn't work on her is the wiper and horn... I Think we'll get over that!

big congratulations, and much respect Alt !
well done.

don't tell me that it is a normal road trailer on the second pic?
beam must be 3m or more,
so not standard road trailable ?

wish you good luck and many happy hours,
no doubt for that as you're used to make many cruising hrs iirc. :)

wow ...

and again

WOW

At least if you have issues with the way the engines were serviced, you'll only have yourself to blame :D

The original owner had this specially made a few years ago. It's not road legal, it's simply a 'launching trolley' - But we live in Ireland, and for the past 8 years the old owner had a tractor bring it a few miles to indoor storage... only in Ireland!!

Trailer came with the boat too :)
