I have been informed this is where i go to get said 16 Amp hook up caravan / marina cable though i dont know the store my informative friend had in mind.

If your boat does not have a shorepower system installed then either of these two might be of interest. Both have the necessary RCD and mcb trips built in

The 16 amp plug itself is only £2.95 from Force 4 - probably similar from a caravan shop. If you are going to use mains electricity in your boat then you need to follow Vics suggestions of having a proper distribution box with circuit breakers and an RCD - not just a 4 gang unfused socket outlet. Dangerous stuff "leccy" if you don't know what you are doing.
