Will have to ask my mate Dave as he has one with those engines in.

How quick do you need to know?

Next couple of weeks will do.
A friend of one of my boating mates wants to do the same voyage as me, but going the other way. I've warned him of the problems Re: fuel cost / availability. He still wants to do it. Not sure if he has fuel range to do some of the legs, and that might be the deciding factor.
Just to add to that, he's only ever done river work before/forums/images/icons/mad.gif

Soltron arrives in South Wales

Hey Dom, I was in the local swindlery (err I mean Chandlery) the other weekend and bu88er me there was a half a dozen bottles of solly on the shelf. I thought this stuff was diffcult to get hold. I'll have to buy a bottle I thought, but hang on a mo i've got a petrol boat so didn't. Is this Spirit of Cardiff soiled goods that are being pushed in S Wales ;-) Chandlery in question was Marine Scene in Penarth....

Thanks Wakeup, just what I needed. The spec seems to be for 2x 5.0 ltr engines, but 4.3 should be similar, if not better.

<font color=blue> Has the internal combustion engine reached Wales? I thought they had only reached coal fired stuff as yet.

So I am told the fule consumption is either the same or slightly better on the 5.0 as opposed to the 4.3 due to the slightly higher revs needed by the 4.3 to achieve same crusie speed.

I am glad I am wearing a big tight belt...

otherwise my sides would have split laughing......

Haven't tried solly in my coal fired boiler for my steam powered tug boat yet but I am sure it will cut down on black smoke..

Re: Soltron arrives in South Wales

You will start finding Soltron in more nad more chandleries from now on. If you have a chandlery near you and would like to buy soltron from there, please let me know.

I am making it my job to ensure Soltron is in reach of anyone that wants to buy it.

FYI the bottles will be more freindly and have a measuring cap on all of them.

That's nice to know, what will they do, greet you with a big smile and a cheery hello?

:)

Ari.

It can be arranged if you want to pay extra ;-)

USER FREINDLY, for those experienced in using the older bottle of Soltron there was no internal way of measuring it, but that problem has been solved.
