maxum 1800 steering

hi all get the boat ready for the year and the seems alot of play in the steering it is cable and wondering it their is any adjustment etc it teleflex system with 3.0l inboard with gen2 outdrive

Since your steering is mechanical excess play must come from either the gear or the outer cable fixing behind the wheel, the outer fixing on the transom or the connection to the sterndrive. Teleflex makes more models but all are rather simple.

Not a lot to adjust but check to see if all is properly fit & tight. Helps to have a friend turn the wheel while you check
