Matsutec HP33A AIS: Input GPS Coordinates to Icom IC-M421

Electronics people, your assistance is needed! My very limited understanding of electronics is exhausted...

I want to use the GPS output of my Matsutec HP33A to the RCA socket of my Icom IC-M421 so that the VHF can display the GPS coordinates and use them if I need to use the red button.

I have the manuals for both instruments but the terminology is different. I have made an abbreviated diagram (below) and would appreciate your thoughts on which of the Matsutec's output go to the screen and core of the RCA input of the VHF.

Which one goes where please? The first to come up with the right answer will receive a print or two from the bar when you visit my sailing club Many thanks!

You should connect Pin 3 (SD = Send Data) on the HP-33A to NMEA+ on the ICOM and Pin 5 (SG = Signal Ground) to NMEA-.

Mine Cobra radio is very fussy about which HP33A output it will accept, but from the manual the OP's ICOM is less particular.
