My boat has a Eberspacher Hydroinic 10 with 3 matrix heaters. The system is now 18 years old.
I replaced the diesel heat about 4 years ago.
The matrix heaters are now getting very noisy.
There are 3 matrix heaters, each with 3 outlets. Each matrix heater is rated at 3kW, total output.
Has anyone got experence of replacing matrix heaters with quiet modern units?

I believe people have had success using compute fans on those things to quieten them down a bit. Could be worth doing some googling on that.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have look, but my initial feeling is they wouldn't be powerful enough.
I already use computer fans to provide additional cooling for the compressor fridge, the Victron Inverter Charger, and the rectifier/inverter on the generator. They work well, and so far have been reliable.
The fans have to move about 3 kW worth of hot air.

He does some testing from around 2 minutes in.
It might not work for your situation but its worth a look as he did live onboard in Demark which gets pretty nippy in winter.
