Mathers/zf microcommander 585 parts

Moving a boat yesterday when it stuck in gear.

It's fitted with microcommander 585 controls, well obsolete!

Stripped it down, there is a small 12v motor driving 2 belts, the plastic gear on the end of the motor shaft has split.

One of the belts then jumps & jams the unit.

Does anyone have a scrap unit or any spares for these ? Desperate for a motor

Might be machine in alloy, if all else fails.

One motor has an alloy gear, & looks like it has been replaced in the past, the other has a nylon gear, which has cracked, so the belts jump.

3d print might not take the stresses.

I'd go a step further, take it out, get it carefully measured and built a replacement toothed thing in alloy or bronze or whatever, AND KEEP the central metal piece (looks shaft is splined?).
Much easier on the machinist (I think!) and easy to solder/tig/whatever to the metal base splined shaft (if I'm seeing correctly)

making custom splines at this size is not easy, doubt any machinist would take on such a job.

I was told that once the covers are off the micro commander white box you must be static free as you can cause long term issues with the unit and as we know they are not supported anymore for parts. Normally its the bands that snap.
