I am trying to contact firms who transport masts from the north of France to the Med. So far, the only name I have found was posted by: "tonydyer" on 08-04-03 which was recommeded to him by "Marc" of Port Napoleon. In the light of the posting "Beware of Port Napoleon" by "dpupn" on 05-01-04 about the trouble he had with the director Marc de Schutter, I wonder if anyone knows of alternative firms?

We have our boat in Port Napoleon at the moment and I have to say that the staff have been superb. We have had nothing but good service from them.

We brought our boat through the canals this autumn and in the event took the mast with us,ours is a 42ft boat with a 60ft mast and it was not a problem as long as you have it very well tied down,we saw several boats with masts knocked off cradles because they were not properly secured. Our contact for mast transport was the same as yours but they were far too expensive.
