Mast fixing for a 20ft Vivacity - does this look right?

You may have seen this guy's website, if not it might be useful to you. He is restoring a Vivacity. At the bottom of this page he starts reinforcing the mast beam.

Had a quick look at his blog. Some things I would do differently. The fuel locker looks great but is actually open to the cabin area so may provide a fuel smell. He should have built a box to mount into the aft wall of the cockpit so that fuel tank is open to the cockpit not the cabin. Mine if full can expand in the sun and spill a bit of fuel. You don't need a sealing lid and so can lead the hose out of a gap or hole.
The carbon fibre cover over the deck beam is a good start. Just remember that it is the depth of the beam that will provide stiffness. It is the depth that intrudes into the cabin space which you don't want so it is a compromise.
I would still suggest OP take some measurements with mast on stays tensioned and mast off to see just how successful that mast support is. good luck olewill
