I tried the mast boot/wedge on the boat this weekend.

Picture before of the wedges with the old leaking boot removed, notice how far off centre the mast is in the hole. The mast was checked as being central by taking the halyard to the chainplate.

The flexane has been poured, set and a sikaflex run around the mast and deck ring joint. All looks good at the moment, although the with mast not being in the centre of the ring, although it is in the middle of the boat i will have a canvas cover made up so it does not look so odd (the boat has had several masts over the years.

Do you have any update after the first year? I'm considering this as an alternative to Spartite so I'd be interested in hearing what your experience has been one year on.
