A couple of days ago , Becky said....."I am reminded of a recent Mash repeat ..."
That was on a thread that Kim wisely put a stop to ( I was about to get abusive also) .. but thats not my point today.
Strange that you are getting MASH repeats now also.. we have just started the XXXXX+ repeat of the series.. but I still love ' em.

In the days when we could get away with 'Jolly Japes' (1977) we painted the roof of the Nurses Home on Richardson Road at the back of the RVI in Newcastle upon Tyne with 4078 MASH (the original film being the 4077). The roof was steeply pitched and required ropes etc. The managment were unamused and wanted us to pay over £3k to have it removed. We negoiated and did the job for £2k - which they paid us! Very frightening when it was daylight and sober. If you drive down Richardson Road and the light is right you can still just make out our efforts. Interesting was that one of the painters moved on to a new hospital for his second six months, tried to paint their portico and was prosecuted.
So fond memories of MASH. One of the best films in my book.
Happy New Year

MASH Repeats

Not so - Murdochs Sky seems to show them on a never ending repeat loop on one of his channels.
They do pale a bit after the fiftieth time - but essentially good clever scripts and stories with a message.
