Marseille Surveyor

Hi Learned Brethren,
I am buying a motor yacht in Marseille and wondered if anyone has used and can recommend a reliable, reasonable English (or English speaking) surveyor based out there to survey the boat ?

I have used Derek Levy for inspecting my boat for the MCA coding,
he's a naval architect and does survey's aswell,
I'm very pleased with Derek, but no experience with him as a surveyor, he appears OK and experienced
he lives part time in Nice / UK,
a few weeks ago he inspected my boat in Port Corbieres near Marseille

Try Jim Pritchard http://www.jimpritchard.co.uk. He recently did a very thorough survey for me and he was excellent. I believe that he lives some of the time in France

Yes , at least for a season or two. Want to cruise to Mallorca for part of the summer, but Marseille is very easy to get to.

I've just gone through the same exercise but a little further west. I had some crazy prices from English surveyors and have now found a French surveyor with all the necessary qualifications. He's based in Sete. I would stress i haven't used him yet but a fellow Brit who has says he's very professional and speaks very good English. His details are below.
