It would be good if they actually told anybody about this discount, if the renewal came through with a section for a tender at the same time I'm betting most of the unlicensed tenders might suddenly become licensed! EA missing an opportunity.

Both the Powered and unpowered craft registration form have a question regarding use of vessel as a tender and stating that there is a 50% discount if registered with the mother vessel.

I registered my tender in July and handed my card details over, expecting to pay the full £90 with no discount. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had 'only' charged me £45 when I looked at the online receipt.
