Just had a sneaky read of the story online in my lunch break, fantastic. Really pleased to see how well she's turned out, I remember watching the piece you did on her launch.

10/10 :D

Thanks everyone. Although the real praise must go to the nerve of the Photographer, who took the shot from our dinghy...and was six monthe pregnant at the time....Vanessa Bird!

Having bought the magazine now, perhaps this issue should be known as the Vanessa issue? With the cover photo and several articles, someone's been keeping busy :D

Just received my March copy of Classic Boat in the post today, and that article is definitely 12/10! :)

Congratulations Nick and Vanessa on bringing Ocean Pearl back to sailing life - I had the pleasure of having a look around their fine vessel at Yarmouth Classics in 2008 (and enjoying tea and home made cake with her crew!), and she is simply gorgeous, a fine example of a craftsman's art combined with sound practical experience.

Fair winds, and happy sailing times ahead this summer.

That cover pic is so right, it could be a painting !

Of course, now you are famous, how does one address Sir on here?

Well done.

You might be on the cover but we are also front and centre in the Dennett's boatyard picture. Was very surprised and chuffed about that!!

Well done Vanessa for getting such a perfect shot. Its the one we all want of our boats. Trouble is single handing, I cant work out how to get the boat to stop and wait for me to get back aboard once I have the pic! Several hundred yards of line connected to the self steering.... ?

I did once put my other half over the side to get a 'sailing' shot. She was not overimpressed. Sadly the pic only showed half the boat because the dinghy was bobbing around too much. After that she refused point blank to have another go!
