Any ideas for the removal of marker from a lifejacket. I know it's known as permanent marker but something must work.

I have found that white spirit removes it pretty well, but I've not tried it on clothing. I have used to mark my Avon, so I would be grateful if you didn't tell anyone criminally-minded.

iso propyl alcohol

used to be sold to clean cassette tape heads

or in medical wipes

would probably seperate the LJ bladder from the cover by something just in case it should affect the bladder (tho i don't think it wll)

Is this a foam jacket or an inflatable one? And if inflatable, is the inked surface part of the bladder or a separate cover? I would be wary of weakening the material of an inflatable bladder with strong solvents.

(You could potentially also dissolve some kinds of foam, but that will be more obvious and a small melted patch less of a problem than a leaking bladder.)
