With the on going saga of the blown headgasket and now two exhaust valves that have gone tits up. The repair bill for this engine is getting higher. Just to throw a spanner in the works, the insurance company have said that because the fuel injection and the turbo are not standard a review of the premium is the order of the day. I pointed out to them that the injection is far safer than the standard carbs but they wont have it!

So sod it I wanna dump this expensive piece of twat and stick something else in thr boat. What companies out there supply kits for marinizing engines. Before everyone starts shouting Lancing Marine, NO i dont want to put a rattley ford york lump in there, or a 1800 ford escort oil burner. What i want is a kit for something like the venerable rover V8 or the Porsche V8 something like that.

Smile. its only money!

Have you actually got one of Lancing Marine's brochures? 'Cos I'm sure they supply marinising bits for lots of different engines.

Or there's Yamaha, suppliers of engines and outdrive legs to the successful round the world RIB bid, they never break down, do they?

I think Volvo engines are wonderful.......

For weighting down mooring buoys !!!!

Seriously tho Lancing Marine supply marinising bits for other engines. It's worth a phone call to Mike Bellamy for his help.
The place that advertises V8 dieselisation is Samurai...Ads in the back of MBM. but see the posts recently about them.
PS The Fords are no more noisy than the Volvos and have a deeper exhaust note , easier on the ear.
