After having carbs ultrasonically cleaned and no obvious faults found and new ignition switch fitted for other reasons engine now starts right on the button, idles smoothly for about five
minutes then starts to drop and run rough and found pool of fuel collecting in intake chamber.Tested electronic thermovalves, both operate on bench test and receive power with engine running.
Going to test engine again and check with borescope to try and narrow it down to which carb or carbs are flooding.Engine is 2001 model with twin mechanical pumps.Although Manual doesn't give an
expected pressure from the pumps, knowingly it will be low figures i wondered if anyone has experienced any such problem.I see from other forums it's a common issue but so many have gone down the
obvious route of renewing floats and needle/seat valves all to no success.I'm trying to rule out any other possibility before taking all the carbs out again.I'd appreciate any help, thankyou.
