Mariner 5hp thermostat location

Hello all, I have serviced my Mariner 5 sailmate but am stuck with the thermostat, I just can't find it to remove it! Does anyone happen to know were it is please? Many thanks in advance.

Model details 2 St or 4 st?

Year/ serial number?

If its a 2st I dont think it has a thermostat

If it's a 4 st its under a cover on top of the cyl head

Many thanks for the reply, it's a four stroke, serial number OR63349. Is the cover on the cylinder at the back of the motor, if it is I think I know were it is. Thanks again.

#20 is the thermostat. Should just start to open at 52 C
