Marine vs. Terrestrial Solar Panels?

Yeah I found a huge difference tilting the panels 90 degrees to the sun at anchor. Even late in the day around 7pm I would get 1 amp horizontal but then 4 amps when I tilted the bracket almost 60degrees to point directly. I plan to make a more versitle tilting arrangement when I put the two news ones on.

I have panels, mounted on my rails, which I can orientate towards the sun for greater exposure and the consequent maximising of output.

I fitted 2x Solara M 40 watt panels 10 years back .
1 stopped delivering anything after 7 years all the contacts came apart so was removed ,the other puts out a max of 0.38 amps .
£ 360 each , when I contacted Barden and Solara they did not "recognise " the numbers and the complaint/ warranty claim ground to a halt .
Neither company were interested .
I now use cheap 80 w panels costing around £ 120 each .
