I needed a pre-purchase survey on a small motor boat in Ipswich, a long way from here. I did a search on YBW fora and found recommendations for Dominic Buckley of East Anglia Yacht Surveys. Though I understand his speciality is wooden yachts I was really pleased with the prompt efficient service and the quality of the report. (It is amazing how much better google is at searching in here than the wee search box up in the corner)
He emailed initial findings on day of survey, then 50 page illustrated report three days later, along with an oil analysis report, the report included recommendations on appropriate action on any issues raised and is specific about what has and has not been tested. The printed copy arrived later by post with a copy on CD including another 171 high quality pics. of every detail and corner. Dominic responded to my concerns about issues raised immediately. I do not think I could have had better service and all for less than the cost of a return trip from here to the boat.
I think it is worth publicising good service here so my thanks to whoever provided the recommendation.
