The speakers on our 30 foot boat's stereo systems are 4 ohm - speakers under radar arch and in the cabin - simple Sony car radio/CD player.
The speakers under the radar arch have worn out but I have found some 8 ohm speakers that will fit.

Will it cause a problem if I use the 8 ohm speakers to replace just the 4 ohm speakers under the radar arch? thanks in advance

Going up in ohms is ok, it will draw less power from the sterio, going down will draw more power and the stero may not cope.

You should be fine with 8 ohm speakers, but they will probably be quieter than the 4 ohm speakers for the same volume setting. Although i suspect you can fix that with fader/balance.

If 4 Ohm was working, then 8 Ohm will be fine. Just fit them. As to volume, the efficiency of a speaker is so poor and variable from model to model, it could go either way but most likely not be an issue.

def' 8 ohm wont cause any damage/ problem.
they will use less power the sound output might be a bit less but it depends on the speakers eg 4 ohm less efficient speakers can give same vol as 8 ohm high efficient can depend on the housing aswell .
