I need around 20m of 2.5mm^2 twin cable. There's the local swindlery and on ebay seems to cost 50 quid. Any alternative sources? Has to be proper tinned cable though!
thanks
thanks
..... twin cored tinned cable .....
Local scrap yard. Been the source of many a high quality bargain for me.
Blue mischief's supplier would've been cheaper per metre (1.60) but since 20m is already plenty I didn't want to buy 30m.

Ask them if they've got my stolen props and prop shafts while you're there...
But.... do you really need twin core? I run a power feed to individual lights and use a common return - the 2.5mm will cope with 29A and as one tends not to have all lights burning at the same time a common return is adequate. For other uses such as Radar then a dedicated return may be warranted. I have 10 lights in the forward section between the heads, forward cabin, coat lockers and mast but would not have more than 3 or maybe 4 of them on at any one time so one common return saving 9 redundant cables @ ~15m each - that is a lot of saving.I understand now, not so low cost after all for the single core stuff as suggested. Thanks.
