I'm new to using Marine Navigator and am trying to set up a 'GoTo' function as you might with a GPS. I can construct routes and save them...even tried to make a one waypoint route but it seems unhappy to let me! Assistance requested.
Thanks

I don't use waypoints on Marine Navigator app. In effect, when you create a route, you are creating a string of waypoints. To create a single 'go to' just put your finger on the point you want and hold it there for a second and a menu will pop up. Select "set marker" from the menu. Then in the top left of the screen you will see the bearing, distance and eta to that marker. To delete the marker, press and hold it and select delete from the popup menu.

I also struggled with Navigator but I like it now, well enough at any rate.

You can create a route from existing waypoints. I found it convenient to do so by moving the marker over the WP you want to append / prepend; the WP list then shows that WP as being zero NM from the marker. Saves you having to name and record names of your WP.

I also bemoaned the lack of a distance or latitude scale, until I learned to use the "set marker" function and use the "marker" in conjunction with the "cursor" to establish distance and bearing between any two points. Probably obvious to everyone but me; I was literally looking at a bay wondering if it was too large or too small to anchor in ?.

Cooo isn't it easy when you know how? Thanks for the help.
It always seems to take me a while to 'get going' with (new to me) software. A bit more of a manual would help and I am sure some real life using it will also help a lot...that's next week.

Thanks again

Gordon
