Marine Mingers World Cup (TM HF)

I should not have used the word crap to describe the new Sealines. I apologise I should have said ugly. I was berthed almost next to the new German Sealines for a few months, NOT keen at all but crap was a poor choice of a word.

Have never been a Sealine man but convinced that the old ones look more solid is what I should have said

I seem to recall a conversation we had at the time Paul when TBS had a brokerage SC35 next to their brand spanking new 330. The SC35 looked a far better boat in all respects and was over £100k cheaper...

Correct young James. The new one 300k or there or there abouts. The old one was around £150k

surprising as they are pretty minging too, and not exactly practical for inland waters with that high freeboard.

Classic, made me laugh. I have to say if anyone is going to start any thread asking people to come forwards to talk about " minging boats" it's going to get tasty. What on earth did the OP expect, but Crap was too strong.

Not exactly designed for inland waters either. Horses for courses. Of course you could always get yourself a dank, dark minging freeman (or other horrid inland equivalent. Maybe a 1980s broom or something made out of soon to rot wood.)

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder and all that. There are plenty of people out there that would say a Broom is unlikely to win a beauty contest, but each to his own. If we all liked the same thing, the world would be a much duller place.

The bad man said unkind words about my baby :p :p :p

That's a fair shout, no arguments, re an old wooden Broom. Rather ironically I was on a nav course this weekend and thought I would stay in board last night and head into my office today. So this morning I took a walk in the sun around our marina looking for a minger, there were two that stood out and both were Italian hulks from the early 90's

Judging by what I saw in our Marina this morning I would say you were almost correct just out by 20 years. 90's Italian GRP is really nasty

Twice in half an hour? Are you really that desperate to get a rise out of me?
I'm flattered.

I really don't care what anyone else thinks about my boat. And I don't think Fairey boats are ugly - I would never own one but that's because i lack the skills to keep one straight. I am surprised at the vitriol in this thread, especially from you and James. Just because someone else takes pleasure in something you don't, are you that unhappy you feel the need to belittle it?
